Description :

1962 Corvette – Fully restored VIN 20867s114100 I bought this car two years ago in California with only 50 miles on it after a complete frame-off restoration. Frame was blasted and painted, exceptional paint job on body, and most of the chrome was re-done. The 327 engine was originally a 300hp and was re-built to 340hp specs. Tracing the history of the car, I believe that it is an original engine, but the engine serial number was machined off during the re-build so I can’t prove it. This car has hundreds of new parts (I have the receipts for most of them). Large items such as the windshield, exhaust, tires, soft-top, radiator, generator, carpet, heater, etc. Plus many of the small items such as ash tray, antenna mast, horn relay, dash gauges, dipstick, gas pedal, tools in the trunk, right down to the gaskets, brake lines, and nuts and bolts. There are too many new items on this car to list, but it looks very close to the day it was purchased in July 1962. Last year I had the front end suspension redone, put in a new Hurst 4-speed competition shifter, replaced the single master cylinder with a dual, and installed disc brakes on the front. Car comes with manuals, cover, and fender guards. You may be wondering if there are any flaws with the car. There is a very small imperfection where the chrome was re-done on the side of the front bumper. Like many C1 Corvettes, it needs ground wires run from the rear lights and gas tank up to the battery to stop the ‘dancing gas gauge’ i.e. gas gauge moves when the brake pedal is pressed. The only other issue is that the new soft-top needs to be adjusted so the windows fully roll up when the top is up. I’m not saying that this car is an NCRS competition car, and it is 50 years old which means that it will always need some TLC, but it is a beautiful pristine car that turns heads and will give you that rush when you put the pedal to the floor. I’m selling the car for what I have invested in it. I’m about to retire and need the money to put towards an RV. scott.follows@acadiau.ca
